On Wednesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board
(PCB) declared its interest in hosting the inaugural match of the Pakistan
Super League (PSL) in Peshawar. The PCB
stated, ''If the KP government provides us with Arbab Niaz and Hayatabad
Stadiums, then we aim to hold the first PSL match in Peshawar.'' The ninth
edition of the PSL is scheduled to commence on February 17.
Positive Experience for Emerging Players
Against Australia. PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf remarked on
Wednesday that the emerging players had gained "valuable experience"
during their encounters with Australia.
During a press conference alongside PCB
COO Salman Naseer, Ashraf expressed gratitude to Cricket Australia for the warm
reception extended to the Pakistan cricket team. "Cricket Australia has
committed to providing training to Pakistan's curators, contributing to the
improvement of pitch standards."
Ashraf emphasized that the PCB had
engaged in discussions with Cricket Australia on various fronts. "The PCB
and Cricket Australia are set to collaborate further," Ashraf affirmed.
Sharing his perspective, PCB COO Salman
Naseer commented, "Due to the proliferation of franchise cricket, there is
a scheduling conflict in the cricket calendar."
