Lifetime Disqualification of Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen ends.

The Supreme Court has passed judgment on the interpretation of Section 62 1F, ending the life disqualification of Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen.

The Supreme Court's decision ends the disqualification of former Prime Minister and Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Istehkam Party leader Jahangir Tareen.

A seven-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the case on interpretation of Section 62 1F.

According to the judgment, the disqualification of politicians is not permanent, and 62 1F is interpreted as a reading of the Constitution through a judicial declaration, and there is no legal procedure for making a declaration.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan said after announcing the election dates that this decision should be taken immediately in the presence of all lawyers and the Attorney General.
