Today (January 11), the Indian cricket team is gearing up for the inaugural match of a three-game T20 series against Afghanistan at Mohali's IS Bindra Stadium. Ahead of the crucial encounter, Team India engaged in an intensive net practice session, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sharing a glimpse of their preparation on social media. This T20 series holds significance as it marks India's final series before the T20 World Cup in 2024.
The BCCI video captured the arrival of
all Indian players, including head coach Rahul Dravid, as they disembarked from
the team bus. Subsequently, the players were seen actively involved in
stretching and warming up exercises. Captain Rohit Sharma and his teammates
were then observed honing their batting skills in the nets. The practice
session concluded with bowlers, encompassing both pacers and spinners,
showcasing their prowess. Notably, most players opted for warm clothing,
adapting to the chilly weather during the training session.
