On January 28th, the Sikh for Justice (SFJ) launched a political campaign in San Francisco, marking the commencement of a referendum for Khalistan independence.

In a demonstration against the Indian government, Sikh for Justice organized a protest during the visit of an Indian consulate team to San Francisco. Hundreds of Sikh participants surrounded the Indian consulate, expressing their grievances through a rally.

Sikh Efforts for Independence Persist Amid Opposition

Despite India's unsuccessful attempts to thwart Sikh aspirations for independence, SFJ remains steadfast in its pursuit, according to Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The rally prominently featured images of martyred Sikhs, including those involved in the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

Allegations of Modi's Involvement in Violence

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun accused Prime Minister Modi of unleashing a new wave of violence, resulting in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada. Pannun emphasizes that Sikhs historically respond to injustices against them and asserts that the cycle of violence perpetuates.

Choosing the Path of Advocacy Over Violence

Despite the challenges, Sikhs have chosen the path of peaceful advocacy over violence in their quest for the freedom of Khalistan, affirms Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
