Returning officers toyed with the law, I could not get water connection from the government or top leaders of PTI

ISLAMABAD: It has been revealed that Sher Afzal Marwat's candidacy application has been rejected due to unpaid water charges. According to details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sher Afzal Marwat said my application was rejected due to non-payment of water connection charges. He told the media that Nawaz Sharif's appeal was being heard in the Supreme Court, but more important cases were awaiting hearing.

He said Shah Mehmood Qureshi was not released despite the Supreme Court's orders and the RO and DRO had caused damage to PTI. He said the returning officers misused the law to illegally disqualify TI candidates.

Sher Afzal Marwat said I was disqualified for non-payment of water connection charges and never got a water connection from the government.

He said most of the disqualifications happened in FIRs, but who in Pakistan does not have an FIR? Nominators and supporters of PTI candidates were kidnapped. Meanwhile, PTI's lawyers submitted additional documents to the Supreme Court on a level playing field, in which it was stated that the documents of over 2,000 leaders had been rejected.

According to additional documents, the court was informed that 668 PTI leadership documents, nomination documents of approximately 2,000 PTI-backed candidates, and second-tier leadership were rejected. There were 56 incidents of snatching of candidacy papers of PTI leaders and supporters, and PTI supporters were arrested.

Meanwhile, in the PTI level competition case, the Supreme Court issued notices to Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab and Attorney General Punjab seeking written responses. According to the Supreme Court order, reference was made to the Punjab Election Commissioner's letter dated December 24, 2023, in which instructions were given to the Chief Secretary and IG Punjab. Pursuant to this order, the Election Commission submitted a comprehensive 160-page report to the Supreme Court on December 26. When questioned, the petitioner referred to a letter from the State Election Commissioner and was told that the State Election Commissioner was not implementing the instructions. .
