Sandeep Lamichhane imprisoned and fined in a rape case

Court of Khatmandu find Nepalese star cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane guilty of the rape case of a teenager girl 17. Court has ordered imprisonment of 8 years and fined 2255USD. he is further ordered to pay 1500USD to the victim girl.

In September 2022, a suit was filed against the cricketer by the girl that she was raped in the hotel room. now he is finally found guilty of the crime and punished accordingly. however, the cricketer has rejected the decision and decided to appeal in the upper court. 

Sandeep Lamichhane has played more than hundred international matches and also participated in Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League
