PTI withdraws Supreme Court appeal seeking level playing field

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has withdrawn its demand for equal treatment from the Supreme Court. According to details, when the hearing began on PTI's plea seeking a level playing field in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Easa asked if you wanted to hear the matter. In response, Latif Khosa said, “We came to court seeking a level playing field and we were asked to withdraw the application but you did so on January 13 at 11:30 p.m. Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf  has been broken and this decision has taken us away from parliamentary politics. Thank you, we would like to appeal to the people's court for the sake of democracy and the survival of the people." The Supreme Court withdrew the request. 

Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer Latif Khosa told the media: “We came for a level playing field and transparent elections, but your decision took away 230 seats from us. "There is certainly a lack of confidence in the Chief Justice, but now we will go to the people's court. In an earlier hearing, the Election Commission of Pakistan rejected the PTI's claim that it had not achieved a level playing field, imposed fine and dismissed the contempt petition of Tehreek-e-Insaf. I submitted the following response to the Supreme Court. The ECP dismissed the PTI's argument that there was no level playing field and also rejected PTI's demand for sanctions in its response.

In response, the Election Commission took the stand that as per the Supreme Court order, it met the PTI leaders and assured them of ensuring a level playing field without discrimination. Across the country, details of actions and directions regarding these complaints have also been provided to the courts,  PTI Principal Grievance Secretaries and ROs have also submitted implementation reports.

In its response, the Election Commission said that out of the 843 PTI candidatures, 598 were accepted by the National Assembly and 245 candidatures were rejected, while 379 were accepted and rejected, representing 76.18% of the applications, according to a senior official. papers of Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidates. Therefore, in view of the RO report, the allegation that the game was not fair is rejected.
