Dubai International Cricket Board has released new Test rankings.
In the batting rankings released by the ICC, New Zealand's Kane Williamson is at the top with 864 runs, followed by England batsman Joe Root in second place with 859 runs and Australia's Steve Smith in third place with 818 runs. Australian batsman Marens Rabshin ranks fourth with 802 runs. Meanwhile, Darryl Mitchell is in fifth place with 786 runs.
Virat Kohli's impressive performance has propelled him to 6th place in the latest ICC Test rankings, Kohli was in great form against South Africa, scoring 38 and 76 against Centurions, followed by the match-winning score in Cape Town. In this game, he scored a total of 172 points in the series.
Kohli, who moved up three places in the rankings, is now sixth with 775 runs, overtaking Babar Azam, who is eighth with 768 runs, despite scoring only 126 in six innings against Australia. Thanks in part to the Sydney Test, they moved up 10 places to 6th place with 668 rating points, with Saud Shakir in 14th place with 693 rating points.
In the bowling world, Aamir Jamal performed well in his debut series, taking an incredible six wickets in the Sydney Test, moving up 12 places in the rankings to 45th with 432 points, while Shaheen Afridi is 12th with 733 points. Ravichandran Ashwin continues to top the bowling rankings with his 863 points.
