On Sunday, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari addressed a rally in Dera Murad Jamali,
expressing widespread disapproval among citizens across all four provinces
regarding the actions of the rulers in Islamabad.
Bilawal voiced his concerns about an
individual who has held the position of prime minister three times and is now
being poised for a fourth term. Although not explicitly named, he appeared to
be referring to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Bilawal asserted that
if this individual were to assume the prime minister's role again, Balochistan
would see no progress in the next five years.
Drawing attention to the individual's
past tenures, Bilawal highlighted how, during each term, the rights of the
people in Balochistan were allegedly neglected. He questioned the rationale
behind accepting a person for a fourth term after three apparent failures.
Bilawal conveyed a message from
Balochistan to the rulers in Islamabad, emphasizing the discontent of people
across all four provinces with their governance. He stated that the citizens of
Pakistan refuse to be subjugated and are determined to regain their rights,
advocating for a government by the people.
Furthermore, Bilawal noted that, in the
current electoral landscape, only two parties, the PPP and the PML-N, are
actively engaged. With the absence of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)
symbol, the competition is framed as a clash between the lion (PML-N) and the
tiger (PPP), according to Bilawal.
