A former police officer who went missing in Pindi has recovered after seven years, leaving him to beg with a broken leg.

Rawalpindi: A former police officer who went missing in Pindi was found after seven years, found begging with a broken leg. According to details, former Rawalpindi police officer Mustaik Khalid has been missing since 2016. Police said Taskim Khalid suffered a broken leg after being kidnapped by a gang, who then forced him to beg.

Police said that following a tip-off, the kidnapped policeman was rescued from Dehri Hasanabad area of Rawalpindi and three women members of the gang involved in the kidnapping were arrested. According to police, the group of kidnappers belongs to the interior province of Sindh and the search for other suspects is also on.

Police said they informed the family of kidnapper Tasim Khalid about the recovery.

Police said the kidnappers begged and tortured Mustikab Khalid under surveillance, and the former official was kidnapped in Rawalpindi and taken away by a suspected Sindh gang, leaving him mentally unbalanced. The gang brought the abductee back to Rawalpindi, police said.
