As of December 16, 2023, Pakistani
citizens can anticipate a welcome relief in the prices of petrol and other
petroleum products for the upcoming fortnight. This adjustment is attributed to
the downward trend in international oil prices and the strengthening of the
Pakistani rupee against the USD during the same period, providing some respite
for those grappling with inflation concerns.
Insiders suggest a noteworthy reduction
in petrol prices by Rs10 per litre, while diesel is expected to witness a more
substantial decrease of Rs12 per litre. The ripple effect extends to other
petroleum products, contributing to an overall decline in prices during the
latter half of December 2023.
