After losing the bat mark, the PTI name and brand will also disappear, says Pervez Khattak.
The PTI parliamentary leader said that the party which practiced politics of hatred against the institutions of the country would disappear and the PTI party would become a thing of the past.
PESHAWAR: PTI Parliamentary Leader Pervez Khattak has asserted that after the bat sign, the PTI name and sign will also disappear. He said that political parties which pursued politics of hatred against the institutions of the country would disappear and the PTI party would become a thing of the past. At a workers' convention in Nowshera, Pervaiz Khattak said the PTI founder was actually two steps ahead of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif, and that change and accountability were just a matter of 'importance. He said it was just a drama and that he himself was the king of corruption.
Pervez Khattak said the air was not released from Khan's change ball, neither by players' calls nor by players playing with bats, but by the continued removal of the bat symbol by the electoral commission.
Pervaiz Khattak said that the PTI party will be a thing of the past as the parties which pursued hate politics against the country's institutions in the past have either disappeared or remained only as provincial or district parties.
It is noteworthy that the Election Commission of Pakistan yesterday took a decision on PTI's demand for party elections, but declared these elections illegal and refused to call election symbols to PTI. The commission took this pending decision following the judgment of the Peshawar High Court, which ordered it to take a decision regarding election symbols.
The PTI's bat symbol is very popular among its sympathizers and supporters, and it is believed that acquiring this symbol would give the party a relative advantage in the elections. Prominent analyst Sohail Waraihi said the decision could be detrimental to the PTI if not overturned by the courts. “If the decision is confirmed, PTI candidates will have to contest the elections as independents, which means each candidate will have a different electoral symbol, creating confusion among voters,” he said .
