After the Supreme Court's decision, all Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidates will be able to contest the 2024 general elections as independents. The Supreme Court judgment said: “Pakistan was born as a democracy, therefore dictatorship cannot function here. By law, political parties in Pakistan must hold intra-party elections. The PTI held intra-party elections. This has not been proven. The PTI did not tell the Election Commission where the party's internal elections were being held.
