Delivering the judgment, the Chief Justice said a moderate order had been passed, he had apologized for the delay and the judgment would be published on the Supreme Court website. The three court judges hearing the case unanimously delivered a verdict against Tehreek-e-Insaaf. The Supreme Court reserved its decision on the Election Commission's petition against the Peshawar High Court's decision to award the election symbol to the PTI, which was heard at 9:30 am. There was a delay and the chief justice delivered the verdict just after 11 p.m. Justice rendered a sure verdict.

After a delay of two hours, the Supreme Court agreed and accepted the Election Commission's appeal against the Peshawar High Court's decision, invalidating the PTI intra-party elections. The court ruling said the Peshawar High Court's decision to restore Tehreek-e-Insaaf's election symbol, the bat, is invalid. Cases cannot be heard simultaneously in two High Courts.

After the Supreme Court's decision, all Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidates will be able to contest the 2024 general elections as independents. Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Insaf will also lose some seats in the national and provincial assemblies. In a five-page judgment released by the Supreme Court, it was said that the Election Commission had advised the PTI not to hold intra-party elections in 2021 and had given it a deadline till June 2022 to hold elections. They were given 20 days and warned that their election symbols would be removed if the results of the party's internal elections were not submitted.

The judgment said that Tehreek-e-Insaf had filed a petition in this regard before the Lahore High Court, which is pending before a five-member bench, but the petition was not withdrawn later and the High Court Peshawar Court then filed a 12-member petition. It is written that he recognized the PTI within the party until January. 22. Despite being ordered to hold elections, Tehreek-e-Insaf failed to properly hold internal party elections. The Supreme Court judgment states that the Election Commission removed the bat election symbol from the PTI because it had failed to conduct the party's internal elections properly and filed a petition in the court. The judgment said an Election Commission lawyer said there was no discrimination against Tehreek-e-Insaaf, but 13 political parties were deregistered and rejected for failing to organize elections. internal elections. It is also stated that the symbol has been erased. I withdrew. The Election Commission told the court that Tehreek-e-Insaf was not holding elections and 14 petitions filed regarding elections within the party were dismissed by the High Court as the petitioners were not affiliated with the PTI.

The Supreme Court judgment said: “Pakistan was born as a democracy, therefore dictatorship cannot function here. By law, political parties in Pakistan must hold intra-party elections. The PTI held intra-party elections. This has not been proven.  The PTI did not tell the Election Commission where the party's internal elections were being held.

The court's verdict said the Peshawar High Court's condemnation of Section 215 of the Election Act was beyond the scope of the petition. Later, Imran Khan-appointed Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali while reacting to the Supreme Court's decision said that he had known for several days what decision would be taken, a new addition to the controversial decision of the Supreme Court.  But we must also see justice done, and we plan to file a new lawsuit against the judgement of the Supreme Court.

Advocate Gohar further said that there is no need to continue making calls, people will vote for Imran Khan. A popular political party was excluded from the elections due to technical problems. Our party's candidates were not prevented from running for office.
